Methacton High School Remediation and Acceleration Summer 2024

A student who fails a graduation requirement with a grade between 50% and 59% may remediate that course in Methacton's online summer school program (BVA). If the course is not completed during the summer, they will repeat it during the next school year.

A student who fails a graduation requirement with an average of 49% or lower will not be eligible to remediate online. Please consult with your child's school counselor for details on repeating a course(s) next year.

All remediation course work is completed online at home. Students may contact the Summer School Coordinator, Melissa Wychunis, at mwychunis@methacton.org for help. If students are struggling with their work, they may schedule an appointment to meet with the Summer School Coordinator, Melissa Wychunis, IN PERSON on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9-12 at the high school and virtually on Thursdays between 9am-12pm.

The final exams for all online BVA courses are July 25th. Final exams will be in person, at Methacton High School. More information will be sent on specific location and times.  Students may complete the course and final early, but there will be no extension under any circumstances. If a student has completed ALL coursework and is ready to take the exam prior to July 25th, student(s) may email Summer School Coordinator, Melissa Wychunis at mwychunis@methacton.org with a request to take the exam early.
