The Intro to Mindfulness Mediation course is based on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. The objective is to bring an awareness and the practice of being fully present to students. It can allow for deeper concentration and helps those practicing gain more insight into their lives. Students become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surrounding environment through this practice. Studies show that practicing Mindfulness Meditation reduces stress, relieves anxiety and depression, improves decision-making skills, and teaches us to be more responsive and less reactive. 18+
