REGISTER BY AUGUST 1ST AND RECEIVE EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTED FEE OF $40! Get a "jump start" on your instrument playing, singing and music game playing before the school year starts. This program is for students entering grades 5 to 8 for band students and entering grades 4 to 9 for string students, with a minimum of one year experience on his/her instrument. Students who play both band and string instruments will have the opportunity to play both instruments if they would like.
It is a great way to brush up on your skills before school starts, hang out with friends you haven t seen all summer and make a few friends in your grade. This program is also a great way for students who are transitioning from elementary school to become familiar with Skyview and/or Arcola and understand the lesson and band rehearsal schedule.
Students will participate in large ensemble, small group, singing, music games and a fun activity each day. Students should bring a snack and water break time.
** DOES YOUR CHILD ENTERING GRADES 4 TO 8 WANT TO PARTICIPATE AND NOT PLAY AN INSTRUMENT? Please register your child at SUMMER MUSIC GAMES CAMP for 45 minutes of singing and music games in the morning (camp time will be assigned to your child based on camp daily schedule). Singing and music games only camp is $15 per student.
